Basic Japanese I 5 105 minutes 5 days / week
This course is for students who have never learned the Japanese language, or have learned only a little. The emphasis of this course is to provide students opportunity to acquire basic skills for conversation, reading and writing, which are necessary for daily life in Japan.
Introduction to Japanese Language 3 105 minutes 3 days / week
This course is for students who have never learned the Japanese language, or have learned only a little. Also, the main target of this course are the students who will be staying in Japan for a short period of time (6 months) . The emphasis of this course will be basic speaking and listening skills necessary for simple conversation in daily life as well as writing and reading. In class, students will have practices focused on practical situations so that students should be able to start communicating in Japanese immediately.

Basic Japanese II 5 105 minutes 5 days / week
This course is for students who have learned the Japanese language for 150 hours at a university and mastered hiragana, katakana, and approximately 150 kanji and the 1st half of basic grammar. The emphasis of this course is to provide students opportunity to acquire basic skills for conversation, reading and writing necessary for daily student life in Japan.

After review the basic grammar, grammar of  intermediate low level are taught.
Intermediate Japanese(Reading) I 1 105 minutes 1 day / week
Pre-intermediate reading skills will be taught through reading texts using pre-intermediate grammar and vocabulary.
Intermediate Japanese (Speaking)I 1 105 minutes 1 day / week
Pre-intermediate speaking skills will be taught using pre-intermediate grammar and vocabulary.
Intermediate Japanese(Writing) I 1 105 minutes 1 day / week
Pre-intermediate writing skills  will be taught using pre-intermediate grammar and vocabulary.
Intermediate Japanese(Kanji and Vocabulary) I 1 105 minutes 1 day / week
Pre-intermediate level competence in kanji and vocabulary is taught.

Intermediate Japanese II 2 105 minutes 2 day / week
This course is for students who have basic Japanese knowledege. The course aims to develop four communication skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) by learning and practicing intermediate level expressions and vocabulary.
Intermediate Japanese Speaking 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Basic speaking skills are taught, using basic- and intermediate- level grammar and vocabulary.
Intermediate Japanese Writing 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Basic writing skills are taught, using basic- and intermediate-level grammar and vocabulary.
Intermediate Japanese Reading 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Basic reading skills are taught through reading texts written with basic- and intermediate-level grammar and vocabulary.

Pre-Advanced Japanese Reading 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Higher-level reading skills are taught through reading texts written with pre-advanced-level grammar and vocabulary.
Pre-Advanced Japanese Kanji and Vocabulary 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Pre-advanced-level competence in kanji and vocabulary is taught.
Pre-Advanced Japanese Grammar 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Pre-advanced-level grammatical competence is taught.
Pre-Advanced Japanese in Economics 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Knowledge of Japanese economics and business, and of the Japanese terms used in these fields, is taught through reading articles and watching TV programs at the pre-advanced level.

Advanced Japanese Speed Reading 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Skills related to grasping necessary information by reading books, newspapers, and magazines quickly and effectively are taught.
Advanced Japanese Academic Speaking 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Skills needed for oral academic presentations are taught.
Advanced Japanese Academic Writing 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Skills related to writing academic essays or theses are taught.
Advanced Japanese Reading in Early Modern Japanese 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Skills for reading texts from the Early Modern era, including the necessary grammatical and lexical knowledge, are taught . No previous knowledge on classical Japanese is needed.
Advanced Japanese in Economics II 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Skills needed to understand authors' viewpoints and value judgments, along with relevant grammatical and lexical expressions, are taught by reading Nikkei Shinbun and textbooks on economics.
Japanese for Economic Research 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
The skills needed to interpret authors' points of view and value judgments, as expressed in economics articles and books, and to make logical and clear oral presentations are taught.
Advanced Legal Japanese 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
Skills needed to understand laws and legal statements are taught , based on the textbook "Nihonho heno shotai (Learning Japanese law by reading judicial precedents)".
Japanese Affairs for International Students A 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
This course teaches Japanese literature and affairs from the Early Modern and Modern periods.
Japanese Affairs for International Students B 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
This course covers Japanese history and affairs from the Late Middle period to the Modern era.
Japanese Language as a Specialty, Expression Skills I 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
The skills needed to write academic essays or theses and in such fields as language, society, and culture are taught.
Japanese Language as a Specialty, Expression Skills II 2 105 minutes 1 day / week
The skills needed to make oral presentations in such fields as language, society, and culture are taught.
