Hitotsubashi University and the University of Toronto signed an MOU and Student Mobility Agreement

In March 2025, Hitotsubashi University and the University of Toronto (U of T) in Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Student Mobility Agreement to promote academic cooperation and student exchanges.

 

The U of T is a state university located in Toronto, Ontario. U of T was originally established as “King’s College” with the approval of the British Crown It was renamed the “University of Toronto” and became a university in 1850. U of T is currently the largest university in Canada, with 100,000 students from Canada and more than 170 other countries and regions. U of T offers excellent, comprehensive, and globally oriented education. It houses the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library and is renowned across North America for its strong research on East Asia.

 

As per this agreement, Hitotsubashi University and U of T agree to send two students to each other’s campuses annually. Students from HU will be able to take courses in English at U of T. The start date of exchanges will be determined through mutual consultation, and updates will be provided in the “List of Requirements for Each University.”
