Hitotsubashi University and Jagiellonian University signed an Academic and Student Exchange Agreement

 

In December 2025, Hitotsubashi University (HU) and Jagiellonian University (JU) in Poland signed an Academic and Student Exchange Agreement to promote academic cooperation and student exchange.

 

Established in 1364 as Kraków University, JU is a national university with a long history. It is recognized as the oldest university in Poland and the second oldest in Central Europe. The university’s historical buildings in Kraków serve as its campuses, and it currently comprises 16 faculties covering 166 academic fields. JU is particularly strong in the humanities and social sciences and conducts practical education and research from various perspectives on European history, culture, and religion, among other areas. JU maintains international outlook and welcomes international students from around the world.

 

JU is HU’s first partner university for student exchange in Poland. Under this agreement, HU and JU will annually exchange undergraduate and graduate students. Students from HU will have the opportunity to take courses taught in English at JU.
