Autumn-Winter 2024 Course Registration
For the academic year 2024, some of the undergraduate courses will be subject to the web lottery.
Web Lottery (For 1st lottery, Undergraduate only)
・1st lottery: Sep. 9 (9:00 a.m.) ~ Sep. 10 (noon) → Result announcement: Sep. 11 (3:00 p.m.)
・2nd lottery: Sep. 11 (5:00 p.m.) ~ Sep. 12 (2:00 p.m.) → Result announcement: Sep. 12 (8:00 p.m.)
CELS Course Registration Period (Autumn and/or Winter, Winter intensive): Sep. 13 – Sep. 20
CELS Course Withdrawal Period (Autumn and/or Winter, Winter intensive): Sep. 30 – Oct. 6
CELS Change of Course Registration Period (Winter quarter, Winter intensive): Oct. 11 – Oct. 14
Course Registration Period for Exchange Students
Course registration must be processed through the CELS during the designated course registration period.
Please ensure to check the course registration period in the orientation schedule respectively.
“Lottery Courses” (抽選科目)
For the academic year 2024-25, a part of undergraduate face-to-face courses will be subject to the web lottery.
Lotter period varies depending on the registered program, i.e., undergraduate or graduate. Please ensure to check the lottery period in the orientation schedule respectively.

Credit requirements and courses which are not eligible for Exchange Students and MEXT Japanese Studies Students are listed in the “Course Registration Guidelines for Exchange Students and MEXT Japanese Studies Students (Pink Sheet) (725KB)”.

Please refer to the online syllabus service “CELS ” (open to public) for detailed course information.
If you have an active Hitotsubashi “Ikkyo” Network ID (*1), please log in from here.
(*1) Hitotsubashi “Ikkyo” Network ID validity period:
Please note that you will not be able to log in to CELS or manaba once your enrollment period ends. If there are any documents, materials from your classes, or e-mails in your Hitotsubashi G-mail account on CELS and/or manaba that you wish to keep with you, please make sure to make a back up of them within this validity period (e‐mails in your Hitotsubashi G‐mail cannot be recovered). Additionally, your Hitotsubashi Network ID (Gmail service and 1284Wireless) will expire in 60 days after your official enrollment period is over (for those who leave after the Spring-Summer semester: middle/November, for those who leave after the Autumn-Winter semester: end/May).
Procedures before Returning Home
When the semester is over and your departure date is confirmed, please contact the Study Abroad Section (Inbound), Educational Affairs Division (E-mail: edu-gs.g2 [at] ad.hit-u.ac.jp). Please complete all the necessary procedures before leaving.
Exchange students MUST inform the Study Abroad Section (Inbound), Educational Affairs Division of any temporary absences from Japan.
